Tressel Hoping To Play Three QB's In Buckeyes' Opener
Coach Jim Tressel said today that he hopes to get playing time for all three Buckeye quarterbacks in Saturday's game against Youngstown State. That means fans should get a chance to watch backup Terrelle Pryor in action. He was the top quarterback recruit in the country last winter and is listed as No. 3 on the depth chart behind starter Todd Boeckman and Joe Bauserman.
Tressel says Pryor has been a little nervous but has done an excellent job of learning the playbook. Make no mistake about it, Boeckman is the starting quarterback -- although when Ohio State had an open-to-the-public practice at Ohio Stadium last week, the buzz in the crowd was about Pryor -- not 1,600-yard rusher Chris Wells, Butkus award-winning linebacker James Laurinaitis or Boeckman.
