 Chris Wells or Chris "Beanie" Wells was born on August 7, 1988 in Akron, OH. Chris Wells is the starting running back for The Ohio State University football team. Chris Wells was also a star player in Garfield High School. Chris Wells was considered as one of the best recruit out of Ohio State Buckeyes and solidified that in the Army All-American Bowl where he was named the Most Valuable Player.

Chris Wells became the starting running back for the Ohio State Buckeyes because of Antonio Pittman going into the NFL Draft. Chris Wells was followed by Junior Maurice Wells in the depth chart. Chris Wells rushed for 222 yards in the annual rivalry against Michigan more than any other Ohio State Buckeyes running back against Michigan.

Chris Wells redshirted in 2006. During Chris Wells freshman year, he shared carries with Antonio Pittman but still had a solid freshman year, and was a big part of the 2006 Ohio State Buckeyes. The highlight of Chris Wells freshman year came in the Ohio State Michigan game where he broke a 55 yard run for a TD that put the Ohio State Buckeyes up for the rest of the game.
