At this time last year, the biggest question for Jim Tressel and the Buckeyes was: Who will fill the starting role as quarterback?
This season, despite the return of starting QB Todd Boeckman, the big question still revolves around the quarterback position -- more specifically -- how to incorporate freshman Terrell Pryor.
"What can they do and is it something that they can contribute to the offense?"
Tressel said that's what he asks himself when looking into this season's game plan. "Can we add that to make our offense even more comprehensive?"
With Buckeye training camp one week away, it seems as though Tressel has more questions than answers when it comes to the highly touted freshman quarterback -- and for that matter, backup QB Joe Bauserman.
"I feel better about going into this preseason's quarterback world than I did last season,"
Tressel said.
Because Boeckman is the only quarterback on the roster with experience, Pryor's push for preseason progress is even more important.
"He wants to learn; he keeps on asking questions,"
Boeckman said of Pryor. "I think that's key to being a great quarterback because you always want to know what you have to do to become the best. And I think he's on his track to doing that."
