Chris Wells attended Akron Garfield High School, where his last two years, he accumulated over 4,000 yards rushing and 47 touchdowns. Chris Wells also participated in the Army All-American Bowl, rushing for 3 touchdowns and was named Most Valuable Player. Chris Wells made significant contributions as a true freshman behind Pittman.
